    • You need to cancel your trip because someone in your immediate family (as defined in the plan) has an illness or injury, even if they aren't scheduled to travel with you
    • Your golf clubs are lost by the airline and you need to rent a set while on your trip
    • Your golf rounds are cancelled due to weather
    • You get sick or injured on your golf trip and need to consult a doctor while traveling
    • A family member back home passes away and you must return from your trip early

If you don't get sick, injured or lose something, the plan also rewards you for a great golf game. If you get a Hole-in-One, this plan will cover celebratory beverages from the clubhouse at the Golf Course! (some restrictions apply). Not available to residents of MO, NY, OR, WA

Some other policies may offer partial protection, however, due to benefit limits, co-insurance and deductibles, you may not be reimbursed for the full amount of the loss. Some people do not have any insurance coverage which would cover the cost of their vacation, if they must cancel their trip. The GolfSafe Secure Plans contain travel benefits that credit card, homeowners and renters insurance policies may not offer. The medical coverage included in the GolfSafe Secure Plans is absolutely vital for people whose health insurance policies (Medicare, certain HMOs, etc.) may not pay for medical expenses incurred outside of the United States or may not cover transportation charges due to medical emergencies.

  • I have a pre-existing medical condition. Can I buy the plan?

Even if you have a medical condition that you might consider pre-existing, you should still consider purchasing a GolfSafe Secure Plan, as some medical conditions would not be considered pre-existing under the purchase terms of the policy. For these plans, a pre-existing condition means an illness, disease, or other condition during the sixty (60) day period immediately prior to the Effective Date for which You, a Traveling Companion, a Family Member booked to travel with You: exhibited symptoms which would have caused one to seek care or treatment; or 2) received a recommendation for a test, examination, or medical treatment or 3) took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine.

Item (3) of this definition does not apply to a pre-existing condition which is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the sixty (60) day period before the Effective Date. Please see next question for the information about the Pre-Existing Condition Waiver.
