Why should I purchase the GolfSafe Secure Plan?
You've saved, you've waited, and now you're all set to go on the Golf Trip of your life. Preparing for your trip includes protecting yourself from unfortunate circumstances that threaten to interfere with even your best-laid plans. By purchasing a GolfSafe Secure Plan, you can get reimbursement for your financial losses due to cancellation penalties, unforeseen medical costs, baggage loss/delays, and lost golf rounds as well as access to a wide range of traveler's assistance services before and during your trip.
A GolfSafe Secure Plan could protect your travel investment when:
- You become ill or injured and need to cancel or interrupt your golf trip
- You need to cancel your trip because someone in your immediate family (as defined in the plan) has an illness or injury, even if they aren't scheduled to travel with you
- Your golf clubs are lost by the airline and you need to rent a set while on your trip
- Your golf rounds are cancelled due to weather
- You get sick or injured on your golf trip and need to consult a doctor while traveling
- A family member back home passes away and you must return from your trip early
If you don't get sick, injured or lose something, the plan also rewards you for a great golf game. If you get a Hole-in-One, this plan will cover celebratory beverages from the clubhouse at the Golf Course! (some restrictions apply). Not available to residents of MO, NY, OR, WA

How can I view the Full Certificate of Insurance and Definitions before purchasing a plan?
Once you provide the basic information for a Quote and hit the "Next" button you will be directed to a Plan Details page, where full Coverage Descriptions of BOTH plans ( Secure or Secure Plus) can be viewed by clicking the plan name and appropriate state.
When does coverage go into effect and will it cover me for the entire length of my adventure?Trip Cancellation takes effect the day after the required premium is received. All other benefits will take effect at 12:01 A.M. on your scheduled departure date and location. Your coverage will remain valid until 11:59 P.M. of your scheduled completion date or your return to your origination point as stated on your tickets, whichever is earlier. No coverage can be purchased after you depart on your trip.

Will my current home, renters, credit card, or health insurance policies cover my trip?Due to territory restrictions, many other insurance policies you already have, may not offer any coverage while you travel. Some other policies may offer partial protection, however, due to benefit limits, co-insurance and deductibles, you may not be reimbursed for the full amount of the loss. Some people do not have any insurance coverage which would cover the cost of their vacation, if they must cancel their trip. The GolfSafe Secure Plans contain travel benefits that credit card, homeowners and renters insurance policies may not offer. The medical coverage included in the GolfSafe Secure Plans is absolutely vital for people whose health insurance policies (Medicare, certain HMOs, etc.) may not pay for medical expenses incurred outside of the United States or may not cover transportation charges due to medical emergencies.
What if bad weather causes my Golf Tee Time to be delayed or cancelled? If you are unable to Golf due to the inability to complete play on at least 9 holes of an 18 hole round due to weather during the round where the club management expressly cancels or puts your Golf round on delay or suspension for more than 3 hours on the day of play the Company will reimburse you (on a pro-rated basis) for the value of your pre-paid Golf tickets or greens fees for each day of the loss of Golf during your trip.
I have a pre-existing medical condition. Can I buy the plan?
Even if you have a medical condition that you might consider pre-existing, you should still consider purchasing a GolfSafe Secure Plan, as some medical conditions would not be considered pre-existing under the purchase terms of the policy. For these plans, a pre-existing condition means an illness, disease, or other condition during the sixty (60) day period immediately prior to the Effective Date for which You, a Traveling Companion, a Family Member booked to travel with You: exhibited symptoms which would have caused one to seek care or treatment; or 2) received a recommendation for a test, examination, or medical treatment or 3) took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine.
Item (3) of this definition does not apply to a pre-existing condition which is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the sixty (60) day period before the Effective Date. Please see next question for the information about the Pre-Existing Condition Waiver.
Do the plans include a Pre-Existing Condition Waiver?Yes, the Pre-Existing Conditions exclusion is waived if you (a) enroll in the plan at the time You pay the trip deposit or within 21 days of the initial trip deposit; (b) purchase this Plan for the full cost of your trip; and (c) are medically able to travel on the Effective Date. If you qualify, this means that you can cancel or interrupt your trip due to your preexisting condition or receive medical care for the condition while you are on the trip.
